Current celebs are more attuned to quick SnapChats and selfies than sitting for hours for an artist.
In today’s media driven market, it’s all about a sneaky shot or a perfect pout rather than a beautifully crafted portrait.
OK, so photoshoots probably take an age to get through with all the prima donna posturing that takes place, but that would be nothing compared to the time it took for master painters to capture their subject.
But in a bid to bring the two distinct periods together, the creative community at DesignCrowd decided to feature the modern glitterati in classic artworks from history.
The combination of brushstrokes and brilliant Photoshop skills formed the basis for a hilarious gallery of portraits you will probably never see hanging in The Louvre.
Scroll down to see how classic Caravaggio’s and Rembrandt’s , as well as Warhol’s and Wood’s, look with a more modern muse, or view the full gallery.
