It’s a love hate thing with lawyers.
Love them as they can use their significant expertise to help out in often difficult or confusing times. Hate, because soon after the joy of a successful resolution to a matter, it is often curtailed when you see the size of the bill.
With most areas of law requiring in-depth knowledge, there is a clear need for legal professionals to help guide many of us mere mortals through the processes.
And whether it’s personal or corporate disputes they are required to untangle the confusing web of regulations to find the best outcome for their client.
They’re asked to defend people accused of crimes, fight for those with no voice, and right the wrongs of defendants from oversized shed owners to multimillion dollar corporations.
And so given this almost reluctant need for their services, it’s essential lawyers appear as approachable as possible to keep clients coming.
One of the key ways they achieve that is by representing themselves through quality and clinical design.
Whether it’s the lawyer logo in their reception, on their website , or on their business cards, they need to appear trustworthy, efficient and disciplined.
It’s why you probably won’t see cartoon cats, bright colors, or overly abstract image on their collateral. It might be boring, but it can be hard enough to trust a lawyer, let alone if they were to present you with something quirky or confusing.
Solo practice lawyer logos
The personal touch has to come through for these professionals, as they are putting their name to their brand and service.
Often these legal logo designs feature the initials of the owner and are clear in terms of what they are offering to their clients.
Civil law lawyer logos
These are again often logotype heavy to clearly display the name of the legal practice. The law firm logo needs to easily legible without needing to be specifically memorable.
Recognizable icons of justice are sometimes incorporated, such as scales, and blue is a prominent color to indicate a key value that is required throughout any legal process – trust.
Corporate and business law logos
Given these lawyers are likely to be dealing with big business and structured companies, these lawyer logos have to be reflective of that.
Again, the dependable blue is present, but also with orange/red colors which show a confidence and boldness they need to have to cope with the power brokers who likely to work in-house with the client.
Other lawyer logo designs
These attorney logo designs continue the theme of featuring wordmarks prominently with little clutter in terms of icons or flowing typography. These can be used by firms or attorneys specializing in accident law, medical law, and more.
Blue remains the standout color while much of the text is a clean and efficient sans-serifs to help indicate the steadiness of the business.
