No, the answer is they are all the subjects in some of the world’s leading podcasts.
From TED radio hour, to Missing Richard Simmons and My Dad Wrote a Porno, the diversity of the most popular shows is almost endless.
The beauty of podcasts is anyone with anything to say about something they are passionate about can broadcast their opinions far and wide. Others can then listen wherever and whenever they want. Overall it’s fair to say podcasting has become big business.
Whether a top business podcast or a hilarious comedy show, the difficulty comes in growing the brand to be successful, with a regular and fully engaged audience.

So in the clustered market of podcasts it is even more important to catch the eye of the audience when often all they have to work off is a title and some cover art in a category grid on iTunes or Soundcloud.

Self help podcasts
Often these podcasts are looking to inspire and motivate, but without being too forceful or confronting for the audience.
In the same way, these shows don’t want their logos to be too brass and loud. The hosts are looking for positive colors to reinforce strength and determination whilst also remaining approachable and caring.
There is also plenty of scope for personality and variety. The Lucky Few and the Humboldt Lighthouse for example take very different approaches to their colours and patterns, but the logos are both clean and enticing for their audiences.
Business podcasts
As with most business logos, it’s about generating engagement as well as a confidence that that brand will deliver on the goods or service it offers.

Shows like Alpha Cast and Charleston BizBuzz feature bold colors in their logos to demonstrate strong business traits such as optimism and leadership.
General interest podcasts
Podcast shows come in all styles and sizes, and for all tastes, fashions, and interests.
It means the logo designs and cover art images the presenters are looking for are hugely varied and often personal.
The Red Man Laughing podcast uses the host’s face to add personality, while The Michael Gibson Podcast puts the name front and centre to help association.
There is again a preference for yellows, which encourage warmth and positivity towards the brand.
